FIFA Football For Schools Programme to Launch in Nepal from Shrawan 15
Kathmandu — FIFA’s Football for Schools programme will officially launch in Nepal on Shrawan 15, 2082 (July 31, 2025). The inauguration ceremony will take place at 1 PM at Dasharath Stadium, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced.
As part of this global initiative, the programme will be expanded to 1,072 schools across all 77 districts of Nepal. A total of 32,640 footballs will be distributed to support football-based learning and life skills development.
The programme aims to integrate education and sports, promoting football development and inclusive learning among children across the country.
This step is expected to further institutionalize football at the grassroots level in Nepal.
