The Gurung community is celebrating the Tamu Lhosar festival, observed as their New Year, with great pomp and show.
Tamu Lhosar is celebrated grandly in districts with dense Gurung settlements, including Lamjung, Gorkha, Tanahun, Syangja, Manang, Kaski, and Parbat, among others.
Meanwhile, the Gurung community residing in the Kathmandu Valley is celebrating the festival by gathering at Tundikhel.
