Planning Boys United Enters Semi-Finals of Eighth Belbari International Running Gold Cup

Morang. Planning Boys United has secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Belbari Arzoo Rice Major Late N. B. Rungmahang International Invitational Running Gold Cup.
In the quarter-final match held on Tuesday in Laxmimarg, Belbari-11, Morang, Planning Boys defeated Rara Football Club, Dhankuta, with a score of 1-0.
In the 2 minutes of added time before the half-time break, Jersey No. 11 of Planning Boys United, Sabin Lungeli Magar, scored the decisive goal, giving his team the lead. This single goal proved to be the winner.
In the highly competitive first half, Jersey No. 11 Pradip Lama, Jersey No. 9 Prashant Luxsam, and Jersey No. 8 Bishal Ghala of Rajarani Football Club, along with Jersey No. 3 Rujan Neupane of Planning Boys, received the first cards of the match.
The winning team will compete in the semi-finals against the host team, LX City Football Club, on Ashoj 30.
Sabin Lungeli Magar (Jersey No. 11) of Planning Boys was declared the Man of the Match and received a cash prize of seven thousand rupees.
The chief guest for today's match was Constituent Assembly member, Honorable Madhu Gurung.
Tomorrow's match will be played between Church Boys United Club, Lalitpur, and Sahlesh Youth Club, Siraha.
According to the club's president, Bikram Rai, the tournament, which has Belbari Municipality as its main supporter and Arzoo Rice Mill as its main sponsor, will award the winning team a cash prize of eight lakh rupees, and the runner-up team will receive four lakh rupees.
To permanently win the trophy, which is worth eight lakh rupees and is adorned with 3 kg of silver and 1.5 tola of gold, a club must win the tournament for three consecutive years.
The Running Gold Cup has been sponsored by Popiraj Rai and Jyotiraj Rai, residents of Laxmimarg, in memory of their late father, Major N. B. Rai.
