Eighth Belbari International Gold Cup Match Schedule Announced

Belbari / The match schedule for the 8th Belbari Arju Rice Major Late N.B. Rungmahang International Invitational Running Gold Cup 2082 has been made public.

The tournament will be held at the proposed stadium in Laxmimarg, Belbari–11, starting from Ashoj 26. The opening match on Ashoj 26 will feature the organizer LX City Football Club competing against India’s Legend Football Academy.

Similarly, on the second day (Ashoj 27), the defending champion Jhapa–11 Football Club will face Bhojpur District Football Association.

On Ashoj 28, B Division League Champion Planning Boys United will play against Rara Football Club, Rajarani, Dhankuta. Likewise, on Ashoj 29, the runner-up Salhesh Youth Club, Siraha, will compete against Church Boys United, Lalitpur. The final match of the tournament will take place on Kartik 1.

Belbari Municipality is the main supporter, Arju Rice Mill the main sponsor, and Tuborg the co-sponsor. According to Club General Secretary Shambhu Basnet, the winning team will receive a cash prize of NPR 800,000, while the runner-up will receive NPR 400,000.

Similarly, the best player of the tournament will receive NPR 25,000; the best goalkeeper, coach, highest scorer, and emerging player will each receive NPR 11,000. In addition, the “Man of the Match” of each game will be awarded NPR 7,000 in cash, informed LX Football Club President Bikram Rai.

According to Financial Committee Coordinator Shiv Kumar Rai, the estimated expenditure for the tournament is NPR 6,378,000, while the target income is NPR 7,201,000.

To win the silver-and-gold–embedded trophy worth NPR 800,000 (made with 3 kg of silver and 1.5 tola of gold), a club must win the title three consecutive years.

Residents of Laxmimarg, Popiraj Rai and Jyotiraj Rai, have sponsored the Running Gold Cup in memory of their late father, Major N.B. Rai.
