Chitwan – Farmers in the Sauraha area of Chitwan are currently busy planting Chaite paddy. Favorable weather and adequate water have increased activity in the fields. The farmers, following traditional methods, have been working in the fields since morning to transplant the paddy.
Chaite paddy cultivation is primarily carried out in areas with irrigation facilities. It is gaining importance as it allows farmers to harvest rice twice a year.
