CAN Bids Farewell to National Women's Cricket Team for ICC Challenge Trophy

Kathmandu. CAN bid farewell to the Nepali national women's cricket team on Wednesday. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) organized a program on Wednesday to bid farewell to the team of women players going to Rwanda to play in the ICC Women's Challenge Trophy.

During the farewell ceremony, Captain Indu Barma stated that a long training camp was held this time and many things are improving under the guidance of a foreign coach. She also mentioned that they will perform even better in the days to come.

She said, "In all the cricket we have played so far, we will play even better and achieve victory in the year 2083 BS. A long training camp was held and many things are improving under a foreign coach. Many things have improved according to the strategy, and CAN has also supported women's cricket a lot. This time, we have set a goal to return only after winning the title." Chief coach Harshal Pathak said that the camp was good this time and performing well under pressure is the most important thing.

Nepal, Italy, Rwanda, USA, and Vanuatu will compete in the tournament held from April 18 to May 1. The Nepali team includes Indu Barma (Captain), Puja Mahato, Bindu Rawal, Rubina Chhetri, Ruby Poddar, Roma Thapa, Kabita Joshi, Kabita Kunwar, Samjhana Khadka, Anu Kadayat, Suman Bista, Riya Sharma, Rachana Chaudhary, and Manisha Upadhya.
