C’ License Football Coaching Course Begins in Morang
A 12-day AFC ‘C’ Diploma coaching course has commenced in Pathari, Morang, aimed at enhancing the skills and capacities of football coaches. The program is organized by the Morang District Football Association and is being led by coach Hari Khadka.
The course, conducted in two phases, brings together 24 coaches from Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Siraha, Udayapur, Panchthar, Kailali, and the Armed Police Force. Classroom sessions are held at Sin Village Party Palace, while practical training takes place at Dipendra Smriti Playground.
Officials highlighted that well-trained coaches are essential for producing skilled players, achieving better results, and gaining recognition at national and international levels. Morang Municipality Deputy Mayor Devimaya Kafle emphasized the crucial role of coaches in maintaining discipline among players and improving performance.
The program also aims to support coaches financially and respond to the growing demand for licensed coaches in schools and communities. Success stories, such as Purnima Rai from Urlabari winning the U-20 Women’s Championship, demonstrate the positive impact of quality coaching.
