Bisket Jatra Chariot Construction Half Completed (Photos)
Bisket Jatra of Bhaktapur is considered one of the major festivals of Nepal. It is regarded as the longest and one of the grandest festivals, and is also a unique cultural celebration of Bhaktapur.
With the arrival of the New Year, the chariot construction for Bisket Jatra—celebrated for eight nights and nine days in Bhaktapur—has been half completed. The construction of the chariot is expected to be finished by Chaitra 25, and the chariot procession will begin from Chaitra 27.
