Nepali Cricket Team Receives Well Wishes from Balen Shah
Kathmandu: Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balen Shah, has extended his best wishes for victory to the Nepali national cricket team as they begin their ICC T20 World Cup campaign today.
Writing on social media, Balen recalled Nepal's first World Cup appearance in 2014 and praised former cricketer Gyanendra Malla while cheering on the current squad.
"Nepal and Nepalis have been introduced to the world through cricket. We have entrusted the responsibility of determining the future goals and direction of cricket to former captain Gyanendra Malla.
Nepali cricket will now move forward based on his experience and vision. The discipline and skill he displayed on the field will be utilized for the development of cricket and overall sports," Balen wrote.
Additionally, he mentioned on social media that the entire country stands behind the national cricket team. Nepal is competing in the World Cup for the third time starting today.
