A Wonderful Opportunity to Dive into Nature and Culture: The Tsho Rolpa Trek (Photos)

The world-famous Tsho Rolpa Trekking Route is located in the Dolakha district. The main attraction of this route is the Tsho Rolpa glacial lake. This lake is situated at an altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level.

To travel the Tsho Rolpa trekking route, one can travel by vehicle from Kathmandu to the village of Chechhet. The actual trek begins from there. The journey involves traveling on an uphill path. However, the pleasure the trip provides is uniquely different, enjoyable, and unforgettable.

Simi Gaun, Surmuche, Kyalche, Dongwang, Thamding, Beding, and Na Gaun are the settlements along the trekking route. These villages are extremely beautiful. Na Gaun is the last human settlement, where sufficient hotels and homestays can be found. It is from here that it becomes easier to reach Tsho Rolpa.

During the journey, the Gaurishankar Himal sparkles like a mirror, which further enhances the beauty of the trek. Another special attraction of the Tsho Rolpa trekking route is Dudhkunda (Milk Pond), which is located approximately 300 meters higher than the Tsho Rolpa lake. From here, the Rolwaling Valley and the Himalayan ranges can be clearly seen, the beauty of which captivates everyone.

The Tsho Rolpa journey can be completed in six days from Kathmandu. From there, one can also extend the trip to other trekking routes. The Tsho Rolpa journey is not merely about seeing a glacial lake; it is also a wonderful opportunity to closely understand nature, culture, and the Himalayan lifestyle.
