Kathmandu, Dec 10 : President Bidya Devi Bhandari attended the 71st International Human Rights Day function organized by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singh durbar today. Also present on the occasion were Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Chairman of National Assembly (NA) Ganesh Timilsina, Ministers, chiefs of constitutional bodies, chiefs of Nepal-based diplomatic missions among others.
Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi on the occasion said that the day has inspired Nepal to reiterate its commitment to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. December 10 every year is observed as the International Human Rights Day to commemorate the introduction of the UDHR on December 10, 1948. (RSS)
