South Korea Raised Minimum Wage Hour
OSNEPALNEWS, Kathmandu, 17th July: The wages of the workers at South Korea has been increased by 16.4 percent for 2018. South Korea’s minimum wage has been set at 7500 won (Korean Currency) per hour for next year. The new minimum wage translates to 15 lakhs 73 thousand won a month for those who work eight hours a day. Last year, the wage had increased by 7%. The pay raise will affect more than 45000 Nepali workers in S. Korea. The decision made by a trilateral council of representatives from labor, management and the general public was reached amid discord between labor and management.
